A restricted Skype

CNet news.com has an article about the latest Skype and Intel deal where former restricts the number of users who can participate in a conference call to 5 if the underlying process is an AMD chip, but allows upto 10 users in case of Intel Platform.

That means not only *you* have to have Intel based desktops but have to force all your contacts to go for Intel (.... though Intel is my favorite).

People on Slashdot are talking about alternate VOIP utilities which perform equally well and doesn't restrict you from talking to all your friends at a time.
